MojoGoon is a pop/rock band from Huntsville, AL. Blending influences as varied as blues, folk, hard rock, guitar pop, new wave, and prog rock. MojoGoon has forged an upbeat and hook-laden sound that is simultaneously intricate and accessible. The band has been likened to Big Star, Sister Hazel, Crowded House, Tonic, the Gin Blossoms, and Train, among others.

MojoGoon formed as a studio project in 1996, a fusion of metal, pop, and blues courtesy of founding members Mike Flynn and Sam Eakes. Their first CD, “Good Clean Livin’”, was released in 2003 and featured 10 songs ranging from contemplative ballads (“Blink”) to bluesy rockers (the title track) to aggressive metal-tinged elegies (“Bad Dream”). In 2004, MojoGoon recruited drummer Scott Paulson and bass player Phil Thames to flesh out their live show.

Sam Eakes left the band in early 2006, to be replaced by guitarist Aaron Helton. With this lineup, MojoGoon’s sound shifted toward more eclectic and pop-oriented material. A four-song demo was produced in 2007; a new CD is expected soon.
